I finally had to let go of my 67 4 spd vette, without ever finishing it, due to this friggin' economic crisis this country is in. The wife cried as it went down the street on a trailer. At least I sold it to a good friend in Titusville. Well I paid $5000 grand for it 20 yrs ago, and it paid for my kids college in the end. Where else can you get that kind of return on your money. Vettes are a good investment. I still have a 62 327 short block with 281x heads hiding in the garage. Someday I'll find something to put it in.

It's almost like selling a piece of your soul. I felt bad when I had to sell my first vehicle.

I have a 76 vette 383 stroker, a 67 mustang, and a 68 2dr ht pariesian with the hideaway lights, 327 high perf engine in it..and for now Iv been hanging on to my babies with both hands. My wife was lookin over my collection the other day and asked me how much money we could get from them, I told her not enough to pay the rent, so there is no use in advertizing..Phew!!! man im soo happy i married a girl who knows absolutly nothin about old cars!!I love blonds...And the rent?.it will get paid, If not? we have 3 nice cars to sleep in!!

Sorry you sold your favorite car. Cars come and go and just maybe a nicer one of the same type and options will fall into your lap later. (Keep Positive) FYI, here is a website for college scholarships. http://www.fastweb.com/ Frankly, Nothing would make me happier than to see a few Ivy League Professors with will work for food signs on street corners.
