I have never ran the stuff before, but it seems to be the cheap way to get a full second out of the car at the track. Im sure somebody on here knows a lot more than me, so i have some questions. I have a 350 4 bolt, scat crank, scat I beam rods, hyper .125 dome pistons. crane 488/510 234/244 114 cam. heads are alum. 64cc 210 runners..comp. should be 10.68.. single plane intake 750dp carb, th400 2800-3200 stall. 1978 grand prix stipped out 410 gears...28x11.5 m/t streets. Im looking for a mid 12's car.

Now that you have the info on what I have...the question...with this set up would nitious be an option? would it be safe for the engine?

thanks for the help....

With hypereutectic pistons you especially need to limit the amount of nitrous used - probably to a 125 or 150 shot. The rings better be able to handle the heat and you better be taking out some timing.

Will they work? Umm... They will probably stay in one piece if you keep the nitrous reasonable. You may want to open up the gaps ever so slightly depending on how much nitrous you plan on using

I have invested quiet a bit of money as of now...I dont mind spending a few more bucks....what would you suggest? I have never messed with spaying an engine and Im open to suggestions. I think the engine should do pretty good without the spary and was thining a 75 shot should be enough...but if you say more is okay Im good with it.

That is a very small amount of nitrous and should be good for a little extra boost that will have limited ramifications elsewhere. I wouldn't worry too much about your rings or pistons with only a 75 shot - just make sure you aren't ridiculously lean.

thanks for all of your help with this matter, like all things in life the first time is a bit scarey. I have done quiet a bit of reading on the subject and understand the "LEAN" side of things will have very bad results. I will let you know how it works out for me. again thank you
