Can anyone give me sound advice on starting an engine that has sat for 2 years? The motor is a 350 Chevy .040 over, flat tops, Vortec heads, .470/.480 lift cam. I ran the motor for the cam break-in, and had started it a couple of times after, but it has not been started since 2 years ago. What should I do to make sure when I do start it again, nothing goes wrong?

Thanks,

Probably the best thing is to pull the distributor and install a pre oiler drive to you can provide pressure lubrication throughout the engine before firing.
