yes you could put a tunnelram on 305 block. And the thing you need to change is your mind. The 305 has small cylinders and the valves are shrouded as it is. without running some type of positive manifold pressure such as a blower or turbo it can barely handle a four barrel. 305s have small runner volume heads. If you try to put 350 heads on it you will only compound the problem. The 350 heads have larger valves that only shroud them more and the larger runners slow the velocity even more. The small  piston bores can not keep the velocity of the incoming charge high enough. Tunnelrams are built for engs that require very large volumes of air and have the heads and valve sizes to handle it. If you decide to put the tunnelram intake on the 305 all you will have is the eye appeal, the engine will run like a stone. You have to understand that a carb needs a certain amount of air flow to get a signel or it does not want to work right. Your eng would be hard to start and hard to keep running, and would bog so bad on take off that it would be very hard to drive. Good luck to you anyway you choose. Hal

Tunnel rams work from gravity, you can get away with 450 cfm carbs w/50cc accelerator pumps on them. Many street rodders have use them for years with out trouble.
