To Chevy High Performance,
I read your article on the 05 Chevelle, I am very interested in learning more about this car. All of us Bow-Tie followers have been waiting for the General to catch up with the power wars going on in the current automobile industry. Since the cancelation of the CAMARO, the Bow-Tie crowd has seen nothing in the future that stirs our passions. Not all of us are truck lovers, we need performance rear wheel drive cars, not front wheel drive sudo performers. The GTO is a start, but don't sell us short, we need the CHEVELLE SS with the 400hp Corvette engine under the hood. Don't make the same mistake as with the GTO, use this info to enhance this project. Give us a car that all Bow-Tie faithful would be proud to own. A cowl- induction hood is a must!!!! Put the car on a diet does it really need to be 3700-3900 lbs. Give us the option of type of interior ( leather or cloth ), cut the fluff out of it so the younger generation will look at this car as an option. Make it a true resurrection of the muscle car we once knew, no fluff just performance!!!!!!!!!

Well put! I agree. Chevy used to be #1 because they used to build imagination at an affordable price!

I agree 100%, My dad had a 1970 Chevelle ss 396 and I'm a huge Chevy fan. The Chevelle and Camaro are my favorite cars and neither of them are on the market. They defently need to put this on the market. And I agree with the vette engine, I already know it will blow the doors off of those imports with 1.8 litter engines (when my Mountain Dew is 2 litters). But with the vette engine they wouldnt know what the hell happend to them. I want this car to have no competitors!!!! Show them what chevy is made of!

I think the new Chevelle is a nice idea, but unfortunately as we all know, these cars were a lot bigger than that. I think if they had used their own base chassis platform like the newest camaro or monte carlo to build it, It would certainly be worth the wait, but I'll take it like this for now, until GM can come up with a little better solution. I bet you that as much effort that has gone into building the corvette over the years the same amount of effort could be used to create a torque-thirsty, power-hungry, over 20 mpg-fuel-savin', big-rumblin' Pushrod-V-8, modern-day Chevelle. Wow that's a mouthfull! Hey guys, I wonder if anyone noticed that this car is the perfect size for a modern day Nova SS?!?! Can you imagine that!
