I was flipping through my new issue the other day (Jan 04), and saw the ad on page 25, and then the article on page 40 praising the DynoSim, DragSim, and FullRaceSim from Pro Racing Sim. I currently own the Mr.Gasket Desktop Dyno2000, and saw that you can download free demo's of the ProSim's programs. I like my dyno2000, but thought it could use more customization to the cylinder head area, so I thought i'd see what the differences were between the two programs. Well, upon downloading the program, I was utterly appaled to come to find that there are nearly NO differences between the two programs. I'm talking the layout is the same, selection is the same (even the crappy head selection!), graphs are the same, everything. The ONLY substantial differenct that could be seen between the two programs, was that DynoSim has a more modern style to it, in that it has more of a windows XP look to it, but when you're talking $129.00 for DynoSim, and $39.99 for Dyno2000, I don't think that the style of the program is worth $90.00! So by all means, do not buy any of the ProRacingSim programs, go with the Mr.Gasket programs because they are the same program, and substantially more affordable and reasonable. I also downloaded the DragSim program, and I liked it, so I will probably be buying the Drag2000 program some time pretty soon!
