Hi , I recently got a 1980 Caprice Classic
60,000 original kilometers sat since 1983
It was flooding out so i had the carb rebuilt by a pro.
Bolted it on and runsmore or less great. it runs smooth  
but occasionaly seams to be missing or starving for fuel. When the 4brrls are open it works perfect.
Any thoughts?

An occasional miss is probably an ignition problem.

Though the other problems, I have to wonder about your fuel pump. When was the last time it was changed?  

yea check ignition - timing fule pump but an after thought is there a stock fulefilter still on the car how old?? just a thought
