I'm a novice mechanic from New Zealand that's never even changed an oil filter but looking to rebuild a 350. Being on the other side of the world not make it any easier getting parts etc. There is a retailer here that has an old 350 long block. He will guarantee that if not reconditionable will refund the money. The number on it is 14093638... that mean anything to anyone?
I've now read a few books on rebuilds. Not sure what will use the motor for but will be street - don't mind spending a little extra for some more horse power and torque. Is there anything else i should consider before I buy it ...?other than finding a good mechanic to do it for me
