Finally got the top end purchased and almost ready to finish this project.  400 4-bolt, stock crank, Eagle 5.7 rods, KB 30 cc dish pistons, Comp 280 Magnum cam, new Vortech heads (upgraded springs), Performer RPM.  I also will be installing a new Mallory HEI dist. and Hedman Elite headers (1 5/8).

This is very similar to the engine from the Impersonator article.  They used a Holley 750 mech. secondary carb.  I have a Holley 4010 750 (vac. secon.) I plan on using.  I had it on a 355 years ago and plan on giving it a rebuild before installation.  Need suggestion on initial jetting.  I don't remember what the carb originally came with.  Holley's site shows jets 75 (prim) and 78 (sec) for the 750 Mech. secondaries carb but 75, 75 for the vac secondaries carb.  The Impersonator article doesn't mention that they changed jetting so I am assuming they ran it box-stock.  Couldn't find stock jetting info. on the 4010 on the site.

After the addition of the AFR heads I see they used 69's and 76's, so I assume that with the vortecs it would be jetted just slightly leaner.

The 4010 List comes up with a 67 and 75 jets

Congrats to getting your project together

Thanks Gibs.  So 67's & 75's sound like a good starting point for me then?
