hey guy, is it a mechanical gauge or a electrical gauge? if it is a electric i would check the sending unit to see if it is bad. {note: when you installed intake by chance did some silicone get into where the sending unit screws in?}this might be my first place to look and then look at the sending unit.
p.s. if there is any thing i can help you with please let me know.
thanks lee

How many miles does it have on the motor? How long has it been reading low? GM calls for a minimum of 10 lbs pressure for every 1000 rpm. None of the changes you listed would affect oil pressure.

I know i didnt get any silicone on the oil pressure sending unit...hopefully thats what screws in to the back of the block...sorry im new at this...but i didnt put a whole lot of silicone on it just on the outer rims where they usually leak at....and it goes to about 25-30 when driving....but the the gauges dont work in the car...so i dont know the mileage...i came out of a 73 caprice anyways so i wouldnt know...my guess is alot....but i know that it stays constant after 2000 rpms....also i lost a lil power in lower rpms but gained in higher rpms.....is that because of the manifold or because of faulty installation?....thanks BIG GM TECH
