Mechanical or vacume secondaries?  One of the newer designes or one of the standard designes?  The standard design has adjustable float bowles and this is were many people mess them up when trying to tune them.  The newer design eliminates this to make them more user freindly.  If it is a vacume secondary there will be a little part with a spring inside it, the spring controlls the secondaries, there are kits available with plenty of choices out there.  How does it run currently and what motor is it working with.  I'm sure with these detailes people can point you in the right derection, The first time I switched from a two to a four barrel I kept trying to adjust my carb thinking I didn't get it right when I had accidently retarded my timing a bit?  Did you index your distributer before changing the intake?  Adjusting it should be a simple twist of a screw driver though a few peramiters would help.  Good Luck.
