I was wondering if i should put a shift kit in my th350 or should i buy a th400 & put a shift kit in it?All my friends think that my th350 will not be able to handle the "snappier" shifts. Any help will be most appreciated. It will be going into a 1971 chevy pickup w/ a 350hp 350 small block. The rear gears are 3.73.

I say th350 will be fine. they weigh less and eat less ponies than the 400 too.

I have a 70' C/10 with a a built 350 and a built Th350 that has never had any problems. Stick with the Th350 with a shift kit.
