I just purchased a 55 Chevy. Belair HT. I can't identify the engine. It's supposed to be a 350 but no one can find the motor number in a book. Hope someone can help. The numbers are V0330TBX9Z107584

For reference, this is the Engine Assembly Date/Suffix Code

The part of the code with the 'TBX' is the engine suffix code. Decodes as either a '70 or a '79 model truck/van 350cid. The 'V' is for the Flint Engine Assembly Plant, 0330 is the casting date of March 30th.

The block casting number is located at the rear of the block on the drivers side near the bellhousing.

Hope this helps.
