I'm hoping to find someone who can tell me what parts I need to fita Lt1 with either a 4L60 or T-56 in my 93 C-1500 pickup. I have a 4.3l/5 spd in there now. I already have the T-56 from the donor car including flywheel/belhousing/pressureplat/clutch. I prefer the T-56 over the auto....I would like to know if my radiator will need to be replaced and if so with what? I only have the driveshaft from the truck. I'm sure it will need to be shortened. how do I measure that correctly? I have a set of long tube headers. Will I need bungs for o2 sensors? where do they need to be in the headers? I HAVE to have aircond....can I hook the compressor up without much trouble? What will I need there? And what do I need to make the speedo work? I'm trying to get this swap done real soon, Please help where you can. Ken

Ken, I've got some notes on this somewhere, I'm look'in. It's really not too tough. The big headache is the LT-1 is an ODB-II system and you 93 uses TBI so the entire injection and supporting systems from the LT 1 needs to get transplanted. Or you have to convert the LT-1 to TBI or a carb which is do-able but not legal if SMOG checks are an issue for ya.

Thank You Sir! How can I get a copy of your notes, should you find them? I'd heard that the frame needed to be notched...do you know this to be true? Any help you can be will be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to have everything around to swap in early July....I'm scramblin'....Ken

Hey Ken i had that same exact swap in mind but, i killed it do to lack of info but, i will pass on what i learned so that you can be successful. Painless sells a wiring harness that will plug in to your existing system if i am not mistaken. The compressor you must get the one that goes to that motor because they are mounted differently. The radiator i believe you can get away with but you will have to play around the hoses to find a good fit. Bogie was really helpful so listen to him he is great. If i think of anything i will give you a yell or if you think of something drop me a line and good luck.

Thanks in advance....I may be holding for a bit. I'm still looking for an engine! The guy I thought I had bought from bailed....I have a new Marine 4.3l vortec but really do think I'm going back to V-8s....gotta be able to pull 20mpg out of a well tuned 350 and a T-56 don't you think? Don't forget me, I'll have my combo soon, sitting on the T-56 . Ken
