I have a 1985 Corvette.  I have had the engine stroked to a 383.  Technically 388 because of the bore.  I have not noticed much higher performance than with the original 350.  I have maintained the original fuel injection and emissions.

I have an automatic transmission and I did put a new rebuilt GM transmission in when the stoke was done.

I would like to know what I can do to get better performance.

I know you can purchase and install 30lb instead of the original 24lb fuel injectors and also I can install a larger throttle bocy to 58MM.

However, I understand that I must have the right balance of fuel and air to get the proper performance.  Another issue is the fuel pump and the fuel presseure regulator.

Let me know where I should go from here.

Thank You,

Mark

remember lean is power but with increasing the cubes that much do you notice any bogging down at top range? emissions is bad, take em all off, i have heard from old mechanics about gaining 8 M.P.G. from removing emissions crap, also did you keep the stock cam in it? because more cubes can run more duration without getting a lopey idle, and actually they need the more duration to fill the cylinders better

Sure im only 15, sure ive only been turning wrenches for a couple of years, but i did stay at a holiday inn express last night

I would change your intake system first to something like the superram intake or the mini ram from T.P.I.S.The stock TPI intake on your car is all done at 4800 rpm and just wont support the larger cubic inches.Don't go to bigger injectors yet until you do a bigger intake system it would be a waste of money.

  I also have a 89 corvette that i love to drive on the street and i'm able to do 10.98 @128 mph in the 1/4 mile with no power adders just N.A

A common problem, your on the right track, you need to go through the injection. Get in touch with Ed Wright;
