Hope you guys could help me out.

I'm planning on a 383 buildup and was wondering if you guys could suggest which parts I should use together to make a good all around street and tow engine.  Here is was I had in mind so far.

#1

350 block machined to 383, edelbrock performer rpm intake, edelbrock 750 carb, edelbrock performer heads, stroker kit from http://www.enginekits.com/ or http://www.strokerkits.com/ or which ever vendor offers similar kit for the best price.  Just looking for Scat crank, forged pistons, 5.7 or 6.0 conrods.  Not sure which cam to use.

#2

same as above but with AFR 180cc street heads

#3

same block with new vortec heads, 12370839 Aluminum Roller Rocker Arm 1.6:1 Ratio, 24502586 Hydraulic Roller cam,  12495494 Valve Spring Kit,  750 holley or edelbrock. Ideas taken from the twister buildup.

What do you guys think.

Also which torque converter would work best for both street and towing?

Thanks

Go with the vortecs. The afrs are good also. But the vortecs would be better for towing. As far as the cam goes I'd go with a comp extreme 4x4 cam and go with a 750 edelbrock. The edelbrock is easier to tune than a holley, for street use that is.

I would go with pretty much a stock torque convertor.
