I am building a 355 for my jeep, the bottom end is complete  with stage two rods and 9.7:1 speed pro pistons at 72cc,now need to buy cam and heads.I already have a edlebrock performer rpm and edelbrock 650 carb.My question is in the cam and head choice.I want to run a roller cam, looking at the comp. cams 12-422 or 12-423.The heads are where I need the help.A few people have recomended the world products 200cc or the airflow research 190cc.The AFR are at the top of my price range at around 1300.00.But the price is ok if its the best head."A little info on the jeep" 38.5 tsl w/4.88 gear turbo 350 w/2100 stall and msd 6al ign.The use will be hwy and trail use with some racing on top of the ground at the mud bog"just to play".Sorry for the long post just trying to be shure I buy the rite cam and heads.Thnx for any responce.Joe

Have you looked at the World S/R Torquer heads? I would suggest the Vortec heads but you have your intake manifold already.

The sportsman II look better for your application. For more info on heads, go to the tech articles and look for Cylinder-Head Flow-Bench Database. This has good info on all sizes of heads.

I have the flow results printed out, thats why I was so interested in the AFR 190's.But AFR said the 190 series heads were discontinued.Going to call Paul Vanderly Racing and see what he has to say about the world  heads.

If you haven't already done so, look at the AFR 195's they have awesome low lift flow numbers probably the best on the market for out the box heads. You'll get good flow without having to run a really radical cam with insane lift numbers, IE; easier on the valve train more durable. Just my two cents worth. Hope it helps?

No problem, glad I could help out!! I'm buying a set of AFR 210's for a 383 I'm building with a solid roller. I've been doing my homework to get the best bang for my buck as well, and decided on the AFR's myself.
