I need to find the article on building a fixture to measure wheel width, back spacing and tire size to achieve proper clearance.  I know there is an article in some magazine but I can't find it.  I narrowed a Ford 9" rear end  5" on each side and installed it in the 49 I also enlarged the wheel wells in the car by 5" and installed a 68 nova sub frame and lowered the offset by 3" now the front rubs on the tires 4" back spacing and 215/70/SR15 tires the back has a lot of room but the fixture would sure help.

Thanks in advance.

If you go to carcraft.com, go to the tech articles and about 5 pages in is an article about how to measure for tire and wheel sizes. There is no help on a jig but there is good information on how to check for clearance
