I have always liked Edelbrock, but the newer Holleys with the power-valve protection are supposed to be pretty nice.

edelbrock is a good street carb, Holley is a good performance carb, demon is a good choice too for performance.

all depends what you are trying to do the edelbrock is an all round carb more street use than strip, the holley and varents best use at wide open throtle not the best for around town

Hello,
I have used Holley's Rochesters, Predators and Edelbrocks in the past and have found that I like the Edelbrock for it's simplicity and the parts to upgrade them are relatively cheap and easy to get, plus edelbrock provides a handy chart to help guide you in making adjustments for power and/or economy. Then there's the Rochester Quadrajet, which if tuned and calibrated correctly has impressed me perhaps even more so, the problem is that they are a bit more complicated and parts for modification are not easy or cheap to find, but at this time I am currently running an Edelbrock 750 that I am very happy with after Idid some minor and simple adjustments. The basic Holley is great but if I had to choose I'd use an Edelbrock.

I am using a Quadrajet, and have hard just about all good things about them. it was said they had problem with them, during the early wars but were fixed. My 1978 Chevy BIG TEN has the Q-jet, and i am in the process of rebuilding it. I need some help with it, so any info you can give me please do. Thanks
