Hey guys,
Great mag. - but why did you go through all the hassel of the hydraulic clutch install. I put a retro T56 in my '67 Camaro 6 years ago and maintained the stock clutch and speedo setup. The engine is a 2 piece rear main seal 350.
With a flat bar extension the shifter works perfectly with the stock console in the stock position. I DID have to cut a 1" x 6" slot out of the trans tunnel as you did, as well as make a custom crossmember trans mount, but at least the firewall remains unmolested.
Just an alternative for your readers considering this swap.
Sincerely,
Rod Burton

Newer blocks often don't not have the provision that mounts the mechanical cross shaft needed for a clutch. The simple solution is to use a hydraulic clutch rather than fabricate custom mounts and linkage for the mechanical version.
