I want to rebuild or buy an engine to put in a 94 Camaro but need help on if I should go small block or big block and if I should build or buy. If I build small will be 383, big will be 427, and if I buy it will be ZZ383. Let me know what you think on choices and or which will fit better.

Before you can answer that queestion you need to ask yourself a couple of questions. First, what do you want the car to do? Second, what kind of drivetrain do you have (or plan to build) behind the motor?

I personally, have a 388, which makes close to 500 HP and 500 Ft Lbs of torque. To back it up there is a beefed up 700R4, higher stall torque converter, stronger rear end......I think you get the picture.

that is a very nice engine you have there.  On the 700R4 did you order it from someplace or had it rebuilt.

Thanks for you comment on the motor. I have a Bow Tie Overdrives (in California) 700R4, and I'm using a 3000rpm stall, TCI street fighter torque converter. I don't really know what Bow Tie does to beef up their trannies, but I haven't had any problems and we all know of many a stock 700 R4 breaking with that much horsepower.
