I have a chevy 350 crate motor that was made in mexico. I am trying with no success to get a dipstick in for it. I have bought two that are not right.....10066036 is stamped on it with made in Mexico. I have found two holes I think it should go in.

1) Is on the drivers side right below ( like an inch) from the bottom row of head bolts. right were the manifold pipe hooks up.... dead center of the pipe. It is on a flat spot that sticks out some.

2) Right below that like 3 inches down on the side of the block is another hole.

 Can anyone help????

 Thanks

Hey...it should be the one that is blocked by the manifold...right below the head

Depending on what manifolds youare using and what year/style block you are using the manifolds might obstruct the oil dipstick.

I have the same problem on my monza....the 327 block has the dipstick on the drivers side but the exhaust manifold blocks it clean off...so I cant run a dipstick.

Sounds like you should either get another set of manifolds that dont block it or go without a dipstick...another possibility...HEADERS!
