I have a Chevrolet C-10 Truck with 454 engine,

I faced two problems:

1. Black smoke from Exhaust can't be reduced, I tried many times to clean the carbs but its not solve that.

2. sometimes i got Over heat in Temp Gauge, i Fixed Dual Flex lite Fans it reduced but still some times i got over heat.

Anyone have enough Experience can help me ?

You are getting way to much fuel. You dont need that much carb. A single carb will perform better than a duel carb setup. All you need is a single 750 cfm carb with a stock motor with just a cam in it.

If im going to change to single Carb, i have to change the intake too. So, it will cost me much

Any another solution ?

Do you know anything about the engine other than it's a 454? A single carb is a definate, but knowing more about the cam, heads, comp ratio, trans and rear gears just to name a few important factors, would help to narrow the choice of the carb and intake that would work best for you.

If you're set on keeping the dual carb setup, both carbs probably need to have smaller jets installed, and if the motor's not burning all the fuel in the cylinders, you might need more timing.

Another thing to check, what kind of fuel pump is this motor using? It could be you're getting too much fuel pressure.
