Hello.

Id like to say that anyone is free to give advice...i dont value one opinion over another...i just figured oldbogie would have some experience with this.

I am running 327 with 10.5:1 compression with a modified tunnel ram. freshened up stock heads.
Valve springs up to .550 lift
cam = 222/226 @ .50..lift = 447/465...114 degrees.
Mallory unilite distributor with MSD 6A box

Tunnel ram mods are as follows.

-Runners epoxied up 3/4 of the way to the size of a performer intake.
-Port openings in upper plenum epoxied to reduced diameter to increase velocity...approx. 1/8 inch smaller
-Aluminum divider epoxied into upper plenum to dived in half...like a dual plane.

I am trying/going to run this on the street primarily...thats why i have a milder cam.
Not looking for much use over 6000rpms

In a monza with a TH350 2200 stall and posi rear with 3.08 gears for the moment.

I already have two holley 4bbl 600 cfm vac. sec. carbs and am wanting to run them on this setup but i dont know where to start tuning and preparing them...i know they will need to be re-jetted..I just dont know alot about tuning them. they need a rebuild anyway so I want to use em.

I also have two edelbrock 600's that i can use
I just figured it would be easier to tune the holleys for the T-ram.

If you could point me in the right direction Id be very grateful.
Please and thank you

God bless

I have a feeling you're going to run the tunnel ram w/ dual 600s regardless of any advice you receive.  Nonetheless, given your combo... you'd be all the wiser to use a quality dual-plane intake with just one of those Holley 600s.

Sure, the duals poking through the hood will look daunting; but, the single carb setup will smoke the duals.  Function over form will be your best bet here.

* Dual quad tunnel rams are best left for +8,500rpm small-blocks pegging the tach.

Yeah...

The intake has been modified to work well below 8500+ rpm.
Weiand even specifies that in stock formthe intake runs out of power at 7800...and with a smaller divided plenum and smaller runners Im good to about 6500 Id reckon...plus a bettervaccum signal to the carbs..so better response.

I was gonna go with dual 2 barrels but I was having trouble finding kits for them...all the tags where missing and there where no numbers on them.

What about the hotrod articles that proved that a tunnel ram slays a single carb anyday?

And yes..you are right..im gonna run the T-ram regardless of whether folks think its best or not...but i asked how to do it as best as I can...not what i should run instead of the tunnel ram...i appreciate the insights and opinion and am not trying to argue or sling mud...Just saying...thats not what i asked for.

Thanks and God bless

You actually asked for advice on being pointed in the right direction.  I'd bet bank that your particular combo with a very mild cam will respond better with a quality dual plane and single 600cfm carb (which BTW is plenty to feed a 6,000rpm 327ci).

Good luck.
