I've got a holley 2-barrel that isn't listed in my book and so far have been unable to identify.I e-mailed the guru at holley but evidentally I stumped the chump there, been over a week with no answer.I suspect it was the center carb of a three carb setup by looking at the linkage. The numbers are:List 4643-1,the date code is 1773.any info would be appreciated.

On a tri power setup usually the center carb is a different cfm then the front and back.I am thinking center like 350 and otther two like 500. I could be wrong.I remeber seeing a holley 500 cfm on mopar 360s. And international trucks used em.I have had a school bus with a 401 soaking because it is set up that has one. NAPA auto parts can help. All they have to do is get the right number off the carb. Then cross it in the computer to line code NRC (napa rebuilt carb.) Then take that number and go to the NRC book and look for the engine. This may give many engines but could tell u the engine family and manufactor. When I was at NAPA I spent a great deaL OF TIME ON THE TECH LINES AND IN THE CROSS REFRENCE BOOKS TO PULL THROUGH FOR THE CUSTOMERS.I never told a customer I could not help them without using all the resources I had.Sometimes I had to set it aside for the slow times of the day and call em back but I never blew them off brcause I did not want to deal with it.Now I asked someone at a Napa store the other day If they could call the tech line for me with a problem they could not help and they laughed at me.So when I got home from work I found one of my old books and called myself.Do I sound like a angry person or what. If u r not looking for 3by 2 carb set up and it is sell it and u could make enough for a new intake and carb. There is someone out there right now trying to restore a Mopar 6 PAK or a 427 I think Vette

This turned out to be for a FORD.A 65 289 to be exact.I did manage to trade it for a couple of good chevy parts(a gm aluminum intake and a H.E.I distibutor). So all was not lost. The guy has a 65 falcon sprint he's restoring and it matched.Sometimes it pays to know the "dinosaurs" around you.

Was falcon guy looking for numbers matching carb? Ford made carbs that looked like holley but had fo.mo.co cast on em . Good to hear u got some parts out of it.Keep up the good work and keep rubbing his nose in how simple a small block chevy is to work on.

Yeah the poor guy has sunk a small fortune in that p.o.s. falcon and it still won't do much more than pull it's own weight.I have built about ten hot rods while he has scavaged for non-existant parts for that thing.................and it's still ugly.

It's a plain old ordinary 2300 model two barrel not from a 3X2 set up. It is sometimes cross coded as a 6433-1 model.

Your Falcon Sprint friend needs to shop the Mustang line at the junk yard. The 289 Falcon is 97% common to the Mustang with only some minor sheetmetal, badging and tail light changes. Everything else is identical to the early pony car.
