Just so I don't continue to be confused, this is a 1980 Buick Regal with a 301 (4.9 liter) Pontiac engine?
Turbo or not version?
BOP used the same platform as Chevy Monte Carlo which had a 305 SBC, therefore, mounts should be available at your Chevy dealer that will adapt the SBC tp the Regal. In fact BOP offered Chevy engine options in the year range of these cars both in the states and Canada so BOP dealers should also have the part. Don't forget your local recycler where decent parts at better prices than GM spares can be had.
I suggest you do the automatic at the same time as they tend to die shortly after being hooked up to a fresh motor, so save yourself from having to go into just after it's built and do everything while you're there.
I check your local wrecking yard, you might be able to score an engine, tranny, mounts, exhaust, etc. as a package for a good price.

sbc clamshells from mid 70's mouse apps. engine will set right in using simple mods even auto zone 70's pick up truck headers do the trick. turbo 350 unibell non electric nonlockup trannys make the swap the least complicated
