if u were just startin on an project car but wasnt sure of the pwer train and ran across an pontiac 455// olds 455// buick 455// or an chevy 454 what would be the power train 4 u.now i am a fan of gm anyway but i done heard alot about the 455 buick as far as its power and its lite weight that would be my choice.

Gotta wok on that grammar pal...i could barely undestand what youwhere asking...lol...we car crafters/CHperformers speak redneck...not jive. The buicks are awesome but EX-PENS-IVE...and the oiling systems suck...theres no parts available for them...that i can afford...so Id go chevy. -Shred

Olds, they work their guts out and stay together. Buick light at the expense of cam drive and oil pump stability. Big block Chev has a real good reputation, I'd give it quite a bit better than Buick a little short of Olds.
