I just bought a zz502 fully assembled and had the break in done on a dyno.  I haven't installed it n my truck yet and I notice it is leaking oil between the head and the block on the drivers side. What do some of you pros think.  Thanks

Are you shure it's not leaking from the valve cover and seeping down the head. The two places a head sees oil is at the top quarter of the casting, which is in the vicinity of the intake manifold and what is in the rocker box area.

Yes. Valve cover is clean and tight. I think the head bolts might need to be retorqued?  What do you think?

The engine has a GM factory warranty?

Yes. The motor is not in the truck yet and the GM tech line said that I would have to take it to a local dealer.  That would be a pain.  I was hoping to fine an easier solution, but I might has to take it to them.

While it's always good practice to re-torque head bolts after the engine's initial run, there shouldn't be any oil in the head gasket vicinity.
