Hello to everyone i am going to scrap part of my current project which is my 94 chevy 1500 that i dropped a 350 bored 30 over with a set of swirl port heads with just a valve job on them the crank is turned 10 under. It has new pistons reconditioned rods and a mellings cam that i cant really get good numbers on.The tranny is a 4l60e and it has a set of 3:73 gears in it. The tbi is a unit that i purchased from extreme 4X4 it is 42mm with stock injectors. The disrtibutor is a billet. It has msd 8mm wires. Now i found out the other day that i blowed the rear main seal so i decided to break the top end down. Now my question is which cam is the best for a tbi engine i want to get all i can out of this motor it will be a vehicle that i would drive almost daily with a little towing. I am going to install a set of 1.5 roller rockers and a set of vortec heads and the matching intake, so that way when i order the new fuel pump, pressure sping and, new chip i can have the chip burned to the exact specs of my new cam so i am taking all suggestions and if possible a est. on the hp and torque.

I would start looking at about 40° of overlap on a 107° LCA as "optimal," then make a couple necessary changes...

Spreading the lobe centers out is a must for fuel injection and a street engine with any  restriction in the exhaust system. Then cutting down the overlap a few degrees for good measure would equate to somewhere around 260° of duration at the "lash" point on a 112° LCA. Having a dual pattern cam will do a good job of reducing the overlap slightly from the 40° mark I gave earlier.

You have to get a cam that will work with the computer system on the TBI, even with a chip. Since that motor originally came with a flat tappet cam, the best move you can make is to switch to a hydraulic roller cam. You'll see nice gains with a moderate hydraulic roller.

Comp has cams specifically made for TBI trucks, I'd take a look at one of these.
