I have slight vibration at highway speeds. When I changed to 700r4 from 350 trans, I moved cross member back accordingly, should I have dropped it some to eliminate vibration?

Sounds like maybe the driveshaft wasn't balanced properly for the conversion.
Where did you get the driveshaft?

It could be the drive shaft or you might want to double check your degree of angle on the motor. If it is carburated you should be at 3 degrees down towards the tranny. When you moved the crossmember back did you check this?
