Hydrogen Conversion?

Does anyone know anything about some type of hydrogen conversion setup to get better gas mileage? It's the latest craze around the small town I live in, but it sounds to good to be true. Our local technology center is sponsering a seminar/class to show people how to do this. Apparently all you need is some distilled water, baking soda, a glass pint size jar, 2 conducter strips run down through the lid of the jar and hooked to a 12 volt source, and a hose run from the jar into the intake. This is suppose to give you 50% better mileage. Like i said, sounds to good to be true.

You need to check out eagle-research.com.  In short, they have a manual that will outline a procedure to make a hydrolyzer (water molecule splitter).  It uses sodium hydroxide as the catalyst.  It makes enough "Brown's gas" (hydrogen gas and water vapor), to add to a gasoline engine.  It does not make enough hydrogen gas to totally replace gas, however.

I did the reaserch. From what I have found out, you dont see any gain in gass milage for the first 45 min that you are driveing. After that the gain in gass milage is not 50%, is more like 3%. I would say that if u live more than an hour from work or travle a lot for work you might save you a few bucks. If not unless you build a homemade verson, It probly isnt worth the $1000.00-$1500.00 it cost to purchase the system and have it instaled.

Thanks guys. I had a buddy try it on his truck and didnt see any gains. He was told he needed to have 2 or 3 inline to get any improvements.

I saw a few videos on u-tube about how to make these.  Not sure if it gives much in the way of gas mileage, but it sure made a rocket out of a plastic cola bottle!
