The S-10 tranny won't work, it's too weak for the 350.

Second, you won't be able to put the Suburban 350 in your '97 unless you go to a crank trigger system to fire the spark plugs. The 4th Gen firewall doesn't have enough clearance for a Gen I standard distributor.

If you want to convert your Camaro to a V-8, you need to find an LT1 style motor out of another camaro, or a later model Caprice/Roadmaster/Cadillac. I just saw a Cadillac with this motor in a junkyard Sunday, so they can be found.

From there, build that motor up to go into your Camaro. You'll need to get the computer and wiring harness for a Z/28 '93-'97, or get and aftermarket control system from FAST or Mega Squirt. I'd recommend going with the factory harness though.

For a trans, if your car's a stick. you need to find a manual trans from a 4th Gen Z/28, it's a T-56. They're fairly common, so finding one shouldn't be a problem.

If you've got an automatic Camaro, you need to find a 4L60E trans from any late model GM car.
