Im trying to find the all around best head and cam for my 350. This rebuilding engines is new to me and not sure what cam or heads to look for. Im looking for something that has low to mid power. Dont really care about high end power. Can someone tell me exactly what heads and cam I should get. And maybe where ebay, etc. Thank you

If you don't care about top-end power then why not rebuild the stock heads? Otherwise, maybe a vortec head or a stock-replacement head like a World torquer or a small port Dart Iron Eagle.

There are dozens of places to buy any of the above mentioned cylinder heads. I would rather buy new that guess about what's on ebay, but it's up to you if you want to pinch pennies.

I agree with GibTG keep the stock heads and just do a small cam like a idle to 5500 type of stick. This will give you a good street motor you'll have a good torqe ratio to more than stock power, and with this you can do yourself with a little patience and a good service manual.  I would look at the lunati vodoo line that is what i am using and really like it. cam and lifter kits aren't that much.

TAKE THE STOCK HEADS AND CLEAN THEM UP THEN FIND A GOOD MOTORSPORTS SHOP AND GET YOU A GOOD RV CAM FOR $150 BUCKS MAKE SURE YOU GET A LIFTER KIT. CRANE LUNATI ARE DAMN GOOD I DON'T RECOMMAND A COMP CAM CAUSE THEY TEND TO GO FLAT. REASON NO ZINC IN NEW OIL. SO PLAN ON SPENDING ROUGHLY $200-$250 JUST ON CAME AND GOOD GASKETS. THROW IN A GEAR DRIVE FOR TIMING AND YOU GOT A NICE STOCK RIDE, WITH A LITTLE KICK!!

Don't use a Comp Cam because there is no zinc in the oil? That didn't make a lot of sense...

I have used dozens of Comp Cams throughout the years and highly recommend them over Crane and Lunati. Lunati has recently changed ownership so everything with them is questionable and many of Crane's shelf grinds are still old slow profiles that will not make as much power as many Comp grinds.
