Not much info to go on, but I would suspect some sort of fuel delivery issue.

The Qjet has a relatively small float bowl. This is only an issue if there is a problem with fuel flow. The carb could be running low on fuel if you have such a problem. Try changing fuel filters first. It is in the carb, behind the fitting for the fuel line. You could pressure test the pump with a guage installed, but it is difficult to get this reading when you are driving. Above the secondary is the air door. Because of their large size, the air door slows things down when the big holes open. Without the air door, it would do just as you describe. Your problem could be that the air door is opening too quickly.

Is this air door u are describing the choke or is it diferent part of the carb. Is there an adjustment that can be performed for this. I also replaced a fule line when i bought the car. It had a hole in it. When it fired up after that it was the first time I had ever herd the car run. Is it possiable that the fule line is collapsing on me when acellerating hard causing low peressure and boging when demand is high?

Repeat after me: I will change the filter, I will change the filter.

I tend not to rule anything out, particularly when troubleshooting via printed words. However I doubt the problem is a hose. I highly advise a filter change though. As for the air door, the small primary side of the carb has a choke blade at the top. The large secondary side has the air door (yes it looks like a choke blade). With the engine running and the air cleaner off, rev the engine and when you open the throttle far enough to open the secondary, you should see the air door start to open. It should be a somewhat slow controled opening. If it just slaps open, you got problems.

I replaced fule filter and with the car runing looked into the carb. While I was leaning over the engine I bravely told my wife to put her foot down on the gass hard then let off to see the air door movement. The movement didnt seam slugish and was not slaming open and the problem still persist of bogging. Could this be a fule quality problem. I dont know how long the fule has been in the car. I konw Quadrajets are poor quality but was hopeing to make this one get me buy untill i could buy a Holy. I am also shoping for good used Holly 650cfm and intake. Dont have tons of money and trying to keep wife happy.
