I would like to see more articles on 3rd gen Camaros. Love that project 84Z! I own an 89 5.7 IROCZ (betcha could've guessed!) Its not the fastest thing on the road anymore, but whenever I take her out I get more attention than I do in my Corvette! I spend my time restoring it and making sure it stays ahead of and out corners my buddy's new muskrat GT. Lots of us own these 80's cars now. They still came with smallblocks, fuel injection, 4 wheel disks and if your real lucky, a stick. Keep up the good work Guys! T tops Rule!

First I want to reply to heavyhauler 454. You got that wrong my best friend has a 454 1995 dually that hauls a buick regal to car shows all summer. The truck is slammed out on air ride and rolls on 20" dually wheels. But in any case how about old school like a 383 blower 6/71 or 4/71 something other than the super chargers and turbos. LOVE themag keep it up.

Sorry, but I had nothing to do with the POS Camaro. As for FNG, it's just something that carried over with me from my days at Car Craft. It was an honor to be one back then and it's a tradition that I've kept with.

I think it had more to do with our new format or web system? I'm sure Lewis can explain that one in better detail than I ever could.

Also, I couldn't agree with you more - the cylinder head tests are very informative pieces and I would love to have it back online.

FYI - we just completed another cylinder head comparo for our upcoming June issue, only this time we compared 7 big-block heads. We listed the specs, included flow numbers from the left and right ports, and flogged them on a 502ci crate motor. It was a brutal four days, but man was it fun!

Our '84 has turned out pretty nice and we still have plans for it.

As for showcasing more third-gens; it's something we can't ignore. You should see the number of Reader's Rides submissions we get!

For some reason when we switched formats that database went MIA and we have yet been able to get it working right on the site. If we do, you guys will be the first to know

I'd like to know what all the fuss is over using letters like POS or FNG. it's all good, do all you guys go to church twice a week ? The letters let you know whats said, but if a younger person picks up the rag and reads it he hopefully won't know what it means.
As far as idea's I'd like to see more on pre smog small block builds. In Calf. you can't do much to a smog car. I'd really be interested in small block builds built for torque. I'm working on a 67 c20 and am looking to build a small block 355/383/406 but built for torque for towing and street fun. I'm not interested in building a 10 second rocket, there nice to read about but don't make fun street cars or trucks. It would be nice to see some articals on some small single carb blowers for these same engines with dyno runs starting at about 2,200 and going up from there. That way you could get a clear picture of where your making good low end and that would help in setting up the rest of your drive train. Alot ot times you give out # of 450 flbs of torque at 4500, well whats it make at 3000 ?
Thanks, these's are just a few idea's geared more for the street driven car's than the 1/8 and 1/4 mile guys.

Hey Henry. When I say full tilt rase engine,I don't mean top fuel.More like sportsman or maybe bracket engines. You know, build a bracket motor(pump gas, maybe?)and see what cam or other changes help with consistency.Or something like a 16:1 alky BBC.Maybe see what it takes to make 1000 hp with a stock block.....
