Just got my new Chevy Hi-Performance today. In the back under rare sighting. Someone saw a 62 Chevy II with a four cylinder that someone restored. I own a 62 Chevy II with a four cylinder. It is in fact a factory 4 cylinder Chevy II. It has a powerglide behind it. And it runs believe it or not. I bought the car from a junk yard for a parts car for my 63 Nova that is a factory SS car. But the only thing I really bought the car for was the radio delete plate. So the car is still complete! My question is Abandon the 63 (which is rust-free and complete) and fix the 62 or go forward with the 63. Tell me what ya think!

Rust free and complete? That's a no brainer. Keep both, fix the '62 and make it into a daily driver. Those old four cylinders still perform well even today. Maybe yank the Powerglide and install a TH350 to help the mileage even more.

I've been thinking on a project using an early CHevy II, and in place of the old pushrod four cylinder, installing an Ecotec four cylinder, maybe even the blown or turbo version from the Cobalt SS.

hey dueceswild63,  it is possible that we may be interested in one of those for parts.  Does one of them have front drum brakes - 5 lug?

Your wife put you up to this post, didn't she?!! Fix the 62 "stock". Those are sweet little cars! Everyone likes them, even little kids! Drive it!
The SS is: Sky's the limit! BOTH!

I'm looking for a '62 chevy 2 for a project car. I really would rather not go outside of Texas.JM.

Unless you need money or room, keep both.
I would be interested in purchasing the '63, if you decide to go that way.
What area you located in ?
BTW - I'm also still looking for a radio delete plate too.
