I have an '85 305 with late model vortec heads. I am interested in converting to serpentine belt system. Sticker shock for the Zoops and March. Are there conversions for the budget rodder?  

to answer your question, hell yes! ive got a serpentine system from my 1990 silverado on my 72 nova right now and it fits like a dream in that car. but to make a long story short the late 80 and early  90's trucks and camaros have excellent serpine systems that could probably be had for next to nothing. i know of over 20 at my local pick'n'pull right now that you could use.

i got my serp. setup out of a caprice in the junkyard well less than a 100 bucks for my 355 in my regal. one thing to remember is the reverse rotation water pump is needed.
