Need a little help here.  I have an 87-95 roller cam 350/4 bolt main. I also have 350 heads from a 1970 350. I have an Edelbrock intake for the older style heads.  My question is, can I use the newer block with the older heads and intake?  If so, what gaskets (head, intake, exhaust) do I use?  And one last thing...is the timing cover different for pre 1987 blocks?  Thanks.  This place seems to have ALOT of answers!

Everything should bolt together fine with the typical gaskets really for either year of engine.

The only difference I can think would be the camshaft retention plate used to prevent cam "walking" on late-model blocks. It will require a cam specifically for the newer block.
