first for anybody to answer this question we need to know what kind of lifters you have.
it is much easir to set hydrolic lifters than it is to set mechanicals just to let you know.

instead of asking the question asker you could give both examples. chances are that he is running a hydrolic cam.
if so, turn your crankshaft clockwise untill you are at top dead center on the compression stroke. (this could be done with a whistle.) TDC compression is where the piston is all the way to the top of the cylinder and both valves are closed. tighten your rocker nuts till there is 0 clearance and then turn nut 1/2 turn. done. move on to next cylinder.
if it is a solid lifter cam, bring piston to TDC compression and tighten valves with proper size feeler gauge between rocker and valve tip. i do not know this spec, someone else could easly answer that.

Sorry, since Lunati is under new management my link is out of date...
To make a long story short I adjust with the exhaust opening, intake closing method.
When the exhaust valve starts to open adjust the intake of the same chamber. Of course the adjustment involves going to zero lash and a predetermined amount of preload in the case of a hydraulic. The exhaust is adjusted when the intake valve is on the closing ramp.
