i just bought a 1984 carlo ss and i am starting the restoration process. I have a bit of a connection for parts, so i can mechanically fix the car up no problem. the part that i cant do is body work. there is two small holes in the roof which arent a big deal to repair and the bottom corners of both doors are gone but i can buy the bottoms of both doors for an easy swap. my question is regarding price: how much is a mechanically sound, painted, and good looking monte carlo from that year worth? im trying to get an idea so i dont put more money in the paint and body than the car is worth.

I have a 71 monte right now and i have had an 84,86,and a87. the 86& 87 were ss 's they usually go for around 6500 to 7500 depending on how nice you make em. where are you from.i'm from cleve. ohio and we have emission checks so you cant get carried away with motor mods and stuff so hope that helps.
