I have a 350 block with casting number 14093638 and heads on it with casting number 14102193. I have read that the heads with this casting number arent all that great. Hoping someone can lead me in the right direction of what type of heads i should use. The block and heads are fully rebuilt currently. Thanks for any info.

The heads you should depend on what you're trying to build...

The #193 heads are a swirl-port design with a relatively small combustion chamber. With these heads the 350 had to have a factory dished piston to get compression down to approximately 9:1.

The swirl port design is awfully poor for top-end power, really holding back any 350 after 4500 or so rpm.
