HI, i built a 1923 t bucket and put a 5star remand motor in it. the guy i bought it from isnt wanting to do anything about it. but we have less than 100 miles in it. one lope on the cam is gone the push rod isn't moving. do i pull the motor and totally rebuild it or drain oil clean it up and drop in a new cam and go. apples for apples whats best

The engine will most likely need a full rebuild. Get the crank out now and see what kind of condition the journals are in. Then you can figure out what kind of work you need to do.
The required work regardless of the damage is to take out the freeze plugs and oil galley plugs and get some high pressure water/detergent through the block.

ya your right im sure i will have to go clear to the bottom to see how bad i got it. the only thing i might not have gotten with this motor was the vasoline.

Sounds like either the cam was NOT broken in properly (lack of break-in concentrate added probably) or it had too much spring pressure, but I'm leaning more towards the lack of break-in additive.
Yeah, you're gonna need to pull the motor and rebuildit, because that lifter/cam lobe wiping out put metal into the oil.
