I put a new Street Fire Distributor in my 350 Chevy but it won't line up as the previous one did? The instructions say I need to rotate the oil pump shaft?
How do I do that? Can I just move the cap to the right the inch I am off with the rotor?

The camshaft drives the distributor and they must be in sync (rotor pointing at the same location as the old distributor). The distributor drives the oil shaft and you can turn it with a long screwdrive until it lines up with the distributor. good luck

To turn the oil pump, get an oil pump primer and turn the pump by hand so you can get the rotor in the right place.
