292 adv. duration about 240 degree at .050,when that cam would get to its power range the TPI is starting to fall off.I went as big as 212 int dur. on my now brothers 85 IROC,went in debt and installed a retro roller with 204 int with 112 lobe seperation.Stock TPI is all done just before 5000 rpm it now will go sideways up to about 40mph this Camaro has tractor torque and a lite ass.So fun    WIEDER

350's should not be bored .060" over...

They may survive with a near stock rebuild, "low-po," street ride but they will most likely be awfully thin.

After 4.030 you start to lose to much meat in order to maintain a good ring seal, block shift is mostly to blame.Stay with a mild street build with your stock TPI ,mid 13's are obtainable with traction.  WIEDER

k 4.030 it is than   thanks for the advice      ive bored 350s 60 over before in ma 67 impala but i had to beef up my cooling system    i dont have much room in the iroc  plus i think it will be too much for the tpi to handle that ruogh of an idle    my impala barley ran at idle    sounded awsome tho    the *** thing pulled wheels  but obviously no gas milage wheat so ever   had a nasty th350 i got from my budy at speedway and i put 410 rear when money got tight it was either loose the car or the house    i should have kept the car

Just remember that big duration cams for street are not needed as much as good flowing heads.A extreme example is the LS engines, small cams w/ wide lobe centers high flowing 12 and 15 degree heads.AFR 180 street version with a current mild cam and some aftermarket runners will wake up your 86 TPI.I've read other forums and with my own TPI the baseplate and throttle body aren't that restictive. My now brothers 85 TPI is stock and runs strong with bowl ported S/R replacement heads small retro roller and Edelbrock ceramic headers. You need at least 18 inches of vaccum for these TPI's to run decent.  WIEDER

It pulled the wheels.

Oh ya I forgot we had to install wheelie bars and add some weight up front which slowed it down to 10.90's in the 1/4.We're going increase the fuel pressure and drop it down to the 10.50's where it was at before. We thought about waxing the Camaro, that's worth a tenth!Hey GibTG if your ever headed towards Portland Or. let me know I'll throw you the keys.   WIEDER
