My friends, i´m from Portugal and i´m trying to build a Chevy small block 350ci to put in my '67 Camaro that runs with a 6 cylinder engine.
In here it´s very dificult to find any help to do it, and thats wy i need your help.
I´m thinking of a Edelbrock Manifold with a 750 cfm Carburetor and a Cam with Advertised Duration 272/ 282, Lift .442/ .465. Performance Headers and a couple of Glasspack Mufflers with 3in.

Is this a good way to start? Or should i go other way?

Thank´s

What trans and rear do you have? This will help to dial you in better.     WIEDER

I´ve got a 4 speed manual, the standard for the 6 cylinder engine. I'm sorry but i don´t understand what you mean with rear, but if helps, the car its a '67 Camaro with 6 cylinders and its completly stock.

Ok, so if it's a stock six cylinder, it's got a 10-bolt rear, and mono leaf rear springs. The motor you've got planned isn't too radical, so the rear should be ok, because it's a six cylinder it's probably got a fairly low gear already.

I'd plan on install some traction bars once the V-8 is in, otherwise you'll have bad wheel hop problems with that mono leaf rear end.

Thanks for your help, but with the parts that i`m thinking of install i will obtain a good power of the engine? Right?
Please forgive my ignorance but a V8 engine is very rare in my country.

Sorry,I should of said rear gears to find out what ratio you have. This will help with putting a engine combo together for you. If you want to go just a step above stock,a cam with around 210 intake duration at 0.50 would be safe with most stock gearing and a 600cfm is plenty.      WIEDER

Thank´s, i was worried about the parts i chose because i realy don´t know how far can i go widout damage the stock components of the engine. What i realy want from this engine is to give him a real muscle car power, but as i said before a V8 engine in my country is very rare, actualy, i never drove one and i don´t know anyone else in here with this kind of engine.
A regular engine here in Portugal have normaly 4 cylinders and 85ci.

I'm very pleased with your help, thank you very much.
