My 2000 silverado 1500 ext. cab 4x4 has a clunk when stopping, and when leaving a stop. It feels like its somewhere in my t/case or tranny, but i'm still unsure what to look for before i start buying and replacing parts. any help is appreciated, thanks.

first place to start looking at is to see if your u-joints have any play in them. This is the most common problem

The clunking-popping on my wifes 96 Bravada when braking and turned to be a idler arm and lower balljoints.Doesn't take long to check, just a thought. WIEDER
