can some one tell me where to start on this rebuild,this is going to be my first engine rebuild. i want to rebuild the bottom end and get the edelbrock performance top end kit for the top end which conist of heads,cam,intake, for a proven hp rating over 500 hp.

Find a good machine shop!

You will most likely need assistance every step along the way with your first rebuild and there will be many things you won't have the expertise/equipment to do so you will rely heavily on a good machine shop. Finding a credible machine shop is usually easier said than done though...
