I want to swap a Corvette LT1 and tranny into my 84 C10. My concerns are; 1) Getting headers to fit. I know the exhaust ports on the LT1 are d shaped and the two center ports are siamessed. Can I use or modify standard headers to fit? 2) Using the mating tranny from the Corvette, Would I have to find a different tail shaft to fit? Would this be an install and then figure out what I need or does anyone know what would work? THANKS to anyone who can help!!!

All small blocks have siamesed middle exhaust ports.
On the tailshaft, it depends, what trans did your truck have originally?

The exhaust manifolds are different. Besides being d-shaped, the two center ports (3&5) look like it is one big port with no material seperating the ports where the header and head meet. I currnetly have a TH350 Tranny in in the truck. THANKS!

Yeah, you're gonna need a different output yoke. The 700R4 uses a different yoke.

I'm currently working on the same swap but in a 86 and I'm considering running with the current TH400, what do you have planned for power steering hoes and A/C lines?
