With your compression the Xtreme 4x4 X4250H with 206int and 214exh.duration would work better with your unported heads rpm wise.Heavy vehicle and 3:07 gears this is the most I would use in duration. This should be a nice package and run strong, well thought out combo you  have there.    WIEDER

Forgot about comparing spring height, seat and open spring pressure CompCams-World Products or be safe and get complete cam kit.   WIEDER

I'd suggest one of Comp's Thumper cams.

But, what'd really bring your motor to life is getting the compression ratio up. That 8.5:1 compression is your biggest limiting factor. You'd be better off swapping to a set of heads with smaller chambers to get the compression up a point to 9.5:1

A less expensive route is to increase cylinder pressure is to use a single pattern cam like the 252H or smaller, unless you do plan on buying smaller chamber heads. Those Thumper cams will bleed off to much cylinder pressure at low rpm's for your combo.   WIEDER

Don't worry so much about your compression, there is some good things like 87 octane, plenty of timing advance and longivity. Not that 9.5 comp. is a durability problem, keep this build simple stick to your plan of attack.Like I stated earlier lean on the cam a little to make some extra cylinder pressure to make it a more efficent engine.Remember think small on cam selection.67cc compared to the typical 76cc will defintely will boost compression around a half point depending on other factors that are involved in measuring your static compression.Cylinder pressure is as important on any engine build also.     WIEDER

I would guess that they would raise compression from about 8.5:1 to 9.25:1. At this time you could take the opportunity to install steel-shim head gaskets, which could raise the compression above 9.5:1.

I see no problem in a 110° LCA unless you have a very restrictive exhaust system you're working with. Advertised duration should be around 250-260° with lifts staying under a half for maximizing durability with stock or near-stock components.

I appreciate everybody's input so far on my cam advice question.  I talked to a Lunati Rep. earlier this evening.  And was able to get into more of my full vehicle mechanics.  He suggested the Vodoo Cam 60101 with 112 degrees LSA.  It has 213/219 at 0.50 and 256/262 advertised duration with a lift of .454/.468.  I think I'm getting closer all of the time of making up my mind.

You may want to take a look at a couple of old threads regarding the Voodoo cams.

I know that this person at Lunati does this all day long, but I have to disagree. They got other cams that would be better suited for your combo. The smallest VooDoo is better matched I think, they claim on the Lunati recommended cam that stock springs work in most cases. Now I'm confused!Referring to the above post from GigTG which I have read about the higher spring pressure and added stress. If you had 3:55 gears there pick would work good,it's easier to overcam fullsize pickup's compared to a Nova.   WIEDER
