Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me with some information. I want to build a twin turbo small block 355. I have a 350 bored .030 over already. Its been magnafluxed and there are no cracks. I have a twin turbo kit i bought from a friend new. It has 2 T3/T4 hybrid turbos with headers, waste gates, blow off valves, intercooler and hardware. I was wondering what kind of compression ratio i should run and how should i have a cam ground. Also what kind of fuel injection system should i run? I want to go with a MPI system and run about 750 hp. I am on no budget (student loans rule!) and it will be going into a 85 s-10 that has been back halved and a ford 9" with 33 spline axles and a spool. It has 4.11 gears as i hope to drive it once in a while on the street. Any and all help is greatly appreciated

There will be a certain degree of uncertainty when putting 750 horsepower to a stock block. It may be a bit of a risk. A turbo application is not to be taken lightly as it can self-destruct a lot faster than it can be assembled.
The camshaft is going to have to be a large solid roller ground on a wide lobe separation with plenty of exhaust help. Compression should be kept low, especially low if you plan on trying pump-fuel. I'd say around 8.5:1, look at a good manufacturer for a dished piston that will add some combustion chamber volume to the piston top, where it is most effective.
Another important aspect is going to be the cylinder heads. You are going to need a good set of large-port aftermarket aluminum heads that will have plenty of exhaust port and preferrably a larger than normal exhaust and intake valves (maybe 2.08/1.65").
I don't want to tell you how to run your life, but I must say it's not very smart to go into debt for a hobby. With the economy in the condition it's in now you are really going to go that deep into the hole to try to get an education and build a hot rod at the same time? Even an education is very uncertain, as so many college students don't finish the high-paying degrees they plan on. I'm in a predicament similar to this right now...

i understand what your saying and i know that i am going deep into debt but i just want to plan right now what i want to build and if its possible. I appriciate you looking out for me. Also i am going to UTI and am almost done with the program and international and i am going to work on big trucks, i already have a couple jobs lined up, so money im not to worried about right now. Also I already have one race car finished and its a N/A 327 Chevy in a cutlass but my dad acts like he wants it so i am selling it to him. What block would you recommend? I know boosting a stock block is dangerous but do you think it would hold at about 18psi of boost for a season?

Congratulations on finishing your program and already having a position.
Two turbos can make the power to destroy a stock block but depending on how much you detune the engine you can surely make it live for a year. The 750 horsepower guesstimate is probably a fairly safe maximum.

Sound's like you're on the right track, alot of people don't realize the need for autotech's and how much they can make.World Products and Dart have the block you need,I'm surprised GibTG didn't mention these blocks.Goodluck to your future! WIEDER

Thanks a lot guys i really appreciate your props. I gotta thank my dad for being so hard on my ass to get it done but it worked. With a world or dart block should i stay with 355 cubes or should i go for a radical stroked small block like a 434 or 454? would they work as a turbo motor?
